Expectations and Procedures
In class there are three expectations in addition to DeKalb Prep.'s BARK:
1. Respect your teacher
2. Respect your peers
3. Respect the instruments
These expectations are hanging in the music room as a reminder to the students and we have discussed them in class. Every student is given one warning (unless there is a serious physical conflict) when they are found not meeting one of these expectations. If a student has to be redirected again, then the student gets to go to the "Think it Through Station" where they will fill out a behavior worksheet. After the student completes the worksheet then they may rejoin the class. At the end of class, the student will stay and discuss what happened with myself and we will both sign the sheet. Then, at the end of the day the student will receive a copy to take home and get signed by their guardian/parent and return it to myself so I can keep it on file in the music room.

Bulldog Bash!
Individual classes are trying to be on their best behavior as a group in my class to earn stars! Each class gets to earn up to two stars per day in music class. Classes that earn twenty or more stars will get to have a Bulldog Bash which will be a party or very cool activity provided by Ms. Coleman
